Location
Villa Pollio is comfortable accommodation, ideal to sleep in Sorrento
Villa Pollio is distanced from the stress and city traffic but is in a strategic position that easily reaches the most important touristic locations of Campania such as Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, Naples and the islands of Capri and Ischia.
The bed and breakfast is located on the outskirts of the Sorrentine Peninsula, which enjoys a landscape unique in the world, with alternating high and low hills, deep valleys and majestic mountains, offering panoramic landscapes of rare beauty. The most inaccessible areas have been transformed into the famous terraces of land, sloping into the sea, on which olives, vines and the famous Sorrentine oranges and lemons are cultivated.
The climate is mild and dry during almost all the year, which makes the Sorrentine Coast the ideal meta for a beautiful vacation in every season. Of all the small villages of this fantastic stretch of land, the first to welcome you is Meta di Sorrento, which opens its doors with the piazza Madonna del Lauro (square), on which sits the homonymous Basilica.
Sorrento has ancient marine origins and was built on a tuff, sloping from the top of a hill to a stop overlooking the coast. It therefore has everything to discover: the rocky ridge overlooking the water, underwater caves, small evocative bays, spits of land that jut out into the sea and beautiful sandy beaches.
Moreover, for the lovers of ancient culture, there are rural villages, old historical centres, narrow streets that narrate the past and old farm houses. The later are often utilised as agricultural centres immersed in nature, ideal for tasting typical local products that are famous through out the world.
